Rankin: Fashion Photographer
Watch this documentary. Explain the role of the fashion photographer. How are Rankins photographs used in a wider context? Where do his images get used and how? How does Rankin work with his clients and his models? Write this into a blog post.
Analyse a fashion image from a magazine or from the internet. What was the photographer trying to achieve? How was the image constructed? Were the photographers intentions realized?

Get inspired. Watch BBC4's Seven Photographs That Changed Fashion'. This show deconstructs seven classic fashion photographs as Rankin tries to re-capture the magic moments of the originals.
OVER TO YOU!
Surf the web, look in magazines, go to the library and find an image that inspires you. Go to your blog and write 100 words as to why the images rocks. Now plan a shoot around that shot.
